Q. How long are dance lessons?
A. Private dance lessons are 45 minutes and group lessons are 30 minutes long.

Q. What types of dances do you teach?
A. Fox trot, Waltz, Rumba, Cha-Cha, Swing, Hustle, Tango, Salsa, Merengue, Lindy Hop, Night Club Slow, West Coast Swing, and Samba.

Q. Do I need a partner to take lessons?
A. No. We have both male and female instructors. Forty percent of our students are singles.

Q. What is the common age of students?
A. Our students range in age from 22-75. The average age is 45.

Q. How long does it take to learn to dance?
A. Lesson frequency, natural ability, and practice time must be discussed with the instructor in order to answer this question. Other variables to consider are how many dances you intend to learn. We have students that have taken lessons with our instructors for more than 7 years.

Q. I have been told that I have two left feet. Could you teach me how to dance?
A. Absolutely! We have never had a student that was unable to learn. Our instructors have special techniques to help you overcome any problems that you may face.

Q. What is the cost of private lessons?
A. Lessons are sold in packages. Please contact the studio for current prices and specials. We are the least expensive dance studio in the Metro Detroit area.

Q. Can I attend group lessons at the studio without taking private lessons?
A. No. Our programs are created to help you succeed as a dancer. We recommend using group lessons as a supplement to private dance lessons. Group lessons are a good time to practice and meet other dancers.

Q. Are the Dance Practice Parties open to the public?
A. No. Dances are available exclusively to our private students.

Q. I am getting married and would like to have our first dance choreographed. How many lessons should I expect to accomplish this?
A. It depends on the length of your song as well as how detailed and polished you want it to look. We recommend starting 4-6 months in advance. Expect 4 lessons to choreograph the dance and 4-20 lessons to learn and perfect the routine.

Q. What type of clothing should I wear?
A. Wear comfortable attire. A soft soled shoe is best. We do carry a line of dance shoes that are available for purchase at the studio.
